Joy to Life Annual Walk for Breast Cancer: Please Support!
As most of my friends -- and all of my family know -- breast cancer is a personal, on-going battle for me. Diagnosed almost 18 years ago, I'm one of the lucky ones because my children have grown to adulthood since I was diagnosed. I've been able to participate in graduations, weddings and daily events that mean the world to me. Treatment is a brutal journey, but, the fight is worth it and the rewards are immeasurable.
Mammograms save lives. Simple as that. Lots of women don't have insurance or the resources to get a simple mammogram, even when they know they need one.
Since 2001, the Joy to Life Walk has raised money to provide over 11,000 free mammograms to those who cannot afford them. Known fact: early detection is key to surviving breast cancer.
Please help us help others who may not be so fortunate. It matters.
